Prof. Maytal Caspary Toroker

Technion

Prof. Maytal Caspary Toroker is a computational materials scientist specializing in computational and theoretical chemistry. She earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Technion and completed her postdoctoral research at Princeton University. She is currently a Full Professor at the Technion in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, where she leads a research group focused on advanced materials modeling.

Her research centers on the computational design and mechanistic understanding of functional materials for energy conversion and catalysis, with emphasis on modeling both charge transport and catalysis on metal oxides.

Prof. Caspary Toroker has recently served as Chair of COST Action CA18234 on multiscale modeling for water splitting nanocatalysts. Her work has advanced the fundamental understanding of electrocatalytic processes and guided the rational design of materials for renewable energy technologies.
