Venue

The FM&NT 2026 will be held at the House of Science, University of Latvia, located at 3 Jelgavas Street in Riga, Latvia.

This modern facility brings together researchers and students from different fields, like exact, medical, and life sciences, promoting teamwork and innovation.

Attendees will enjoy a vibrant atmosphere that encourages networking and academic discussions, making it the perfect venue for our symposium.

The conference venu is located in the Tornakalns area and is easily accessible by public transport.

From hotels in Riga city centre (Old Town / Central District):

• By train: approx. 4 minutes (Riga Central Station → Torņakalns) (1188.lv)
• By tram: approx. 7 minutes + walking 5-10 min.
  Depending on your starting point, you can take tram routes No. 1, 5, 8, 10, or 14. The nearest tram stop to the House of Science is “Nacionālā bibliotēka.” From there, it's a short walk to the conference venue.
• By bus: approx. 9 minutes + walking 5-10 min.
  From the city center, you can take bus route No. 23, which will take you to the “LU Akadēmiskais centrs” (University of Latvia Academic Center) stop. For buses No. 3, 4, 7, 8, 21, 22, 25, 32, 38, 39, 43, 55, and 63 from the center, you should get off at the “Nacionālā bibliotēka” stop. From there, it's a short walk to the conference venue.
• By trolleybus: approx. 10–15 minutes + walking 3–7 min.
  From the city centre, you can take trolleybus route No. 27, which provides a direct connection and stops at “Jelgavas iela” or “Nacionālā bibliotēka”, both located very close to the University of Latvia Academic Centre.
  Alternatively, trolleybus No. 9 also connects the city centre with the area and stops at “Nacionālā bibliotēka” or “LU Akadēmiskais centrs”, within walking distance of the venue.
  From either stop, it is a short walk to the conference venue.

If you prefer walking, you can navigate using a smartphone map app. For precise directions, you can add Jelgavas iela 3 to your map app.
If you're driving, you can use GPS navigation systems or Google Maps to navigate to the University of Latvia, House of Science (Jelgavas iela 3). However, please be advised that access to the parking lot at the UL Academic Center requires special permits, which will not be provided to FM&NT attendees. However, it is possible to park your car on Jelgavas street.
